After three days of negotiations, Hamas and Israel have reached an impasse, with both sides refusing to give in to each other’s demands. The talks, aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza before the start of Ramadan, have failed to make any progress.

The US, Qatar, and Egypt have been working tirelessly to broker a deal that would see Hamas release Israeli captives in exchange for a six-week ceasefire, the release of some Palestinian prisoners, and increased aid to Gaza. However, Hamas is demanding a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, while Israel insists on the release of all captives and the dismantling of Hamas.

Despite the efforts of mediators, the two sides remain far apart on key issues, with no resolution in sight. The situation remains tense as both Hamas and Israel stand firm on their demands, signaling that the conflict is far from over. Peace remains elusive as the people of Gaza continue to suffer amidst the ongoing violence and destruction.
