The Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly has issued a notification for an important session of the parliamentary committee to select the caretaker Chief Minister (CM).

The parliamentary committee consists of six members, including outgoing CM Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Zamrak Achakzai, and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran from the government side. Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, Younus Zehri, and Ahmed Nawaz will represent the opposition side.

For the caretaker Balochistan CM’s position, the nominees are Ali Mardan Domki, Mir Usman Badini, Mir Naseer Bizenjo, and Ali Hassan Zehri.

Mir Naseer Bizenjo and Ali Hassan Zehri were recommended from the chief minister’s side, while the opposition leader sent the nominations of Ali Mardan Domki and Usman Badini.

Since the government and opposition could not reach a consensus, the decision to choose a Balochistan caretaker CM will be made by the parliamentary committee.

According to the law, a decision must be made within three days of the provincial assembly’s dissolution, and today is the last day to finalize a name.

Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and the Leader of the Opposition, Malik Sikandar, have proposed Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki as the interim chief minister.
