Asad Qaiser, the former speaker of the National Assembly and a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, has denied rumors that he planned to leave the country. A viral post on social media claimed that he had booked a ticket to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, giving the impression that he would not return soon. The post included details of the flight and ticket, stating that he would depart from Islamabad airport and return in March. However, Qaiser addressed the rumors in a video message, reassuring PTI workers that the claims were false and urging them to focus on strengthening the party. He stated that he was not leaving and that the flight ticket was fake, and emphasized that such tactics would not succeed. Despite his denial, locals said that the viral report had negatively affected his position on the day of elections.
