Pakistan’s Army Chief Supports Government’s Efforts to Expel Illegal Migrants

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir visited Peshawar and expressed support for the government’s decision to forcefully repatriate undocumented immigrants. He stated that the presence of illegal foreign nationals poses a security and economic threat to Pakistan. The repatriation is being carried out in a humane and dignified manner, and less than 411 illegal immigrants remain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. General Munir also acknowledged the accomplishments of the armed forces and emphasized the importance of economic growth and development in the newly merged districts. He highlighted the support of the people of KP and the foiling of nefarious designs of forces inimical to peace and stability in Pakistan.
