At the 19th Non-aligned Movement Summit in Kampala, Uganda, Additional Foreign Secretary (United Nations) Ambassador Syed Haider Shah emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to the Non-aligned Movement and its principles of peace, equality, cooperation, and well-being for all. He also stressed the need for international collaboration to address global challenges and called for reforms in finance, trade, and technology to promote socio-economic growth, particularly in developing countries. Additionally, Ambassador Haider Shah urged for a resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. This statement was delivered by Ambassador Shah as he led the Pakistan delegation to the NAM Summit after Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani had to cut short his official visit due to recent developments.
