Notification Issued for Mohsin Naqvi’s Nomination in PC Board of Governors

Islamabad: The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has issued a notification nominating Mohsin Khan as a member of the PCB Board of Governors.
On the recommendation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has included Mohsin Khan in the Board of Governors to replace former PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani, under section 10 of the PCB Constitution 2014.
Upon the Prime Minister’s instructions and the approval of Mani’s resignation on January 20, Mohsin Khan’s nomination to the Board of Governors was announced on the same day.
According to tradition, the Prime Minister nominates Mohsin Khan as the new head of the cricket board for the next three years.
According to sources, PCB Election Commissioner Shah Khawar will announce the remaining members of the Board of Governors, including representatives from four departments and four regions.
The electoral process will commence, and after the general elections on February 8, a special meeting of PCB Election Commissioner Shah Khawar and the Board of Governors will be held to unanimously appoint the new head of the PCB.
After the general elections, Mohsin Khan will no longer serve as the caretaker Chief Minister and will be eligible to serve as the head of the PCB as per the constitution.
