At a polling station in Pakistan, a handicapped man from Peshawar arrived in a wheelchair to cast his vote. Additionally, old women from Sialkot and Toba Thek Singh also participated in the voting process.

Polling began at 8 am and will continue uninterrupted until 5 pm, with over 128 million voters set to elect their representatives for the national and provincial assemblies for the next five years. This election is one of the most unpredictable in Pakistan’s political history.

Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), cast his vote in Model Town Lahore as polling continues for the 2024 election. Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, from Pakistan People’s Party, also participated in the voting at a polling station in NA-207 Nawabshah.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari is contesting for the NA-207 from his native district of Nawabshah, while PML-N leader and former information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb used her right to vote in NA-51 Murree.
