In a workers’ convention held in Lahore, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif expressed his belief that the return of Nawaz Sharif would serve as a catalyst for Pakistan’s economic growth. Shehbaz emphasized that Nawaz Sharif’s ousting had hindered the progress of the country.

During Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, the PML-N president mentioned that inflation was under control, with affordable rates for essential commodities such as flour and sugar. Shehbaz also highlighted Nawaz’s efforts in resolving issues related to power outages and unemployment, bringing light to the nation’s darkness.

Shehbaz defended his brother by stating that Nawaz Sharif’s only “crime” was his dedication to the country’s development, including making Pakistan a nuclear power and establishing educational institutions for the youth.

Criticizing the alleged rigging in the 2018 elections, Shehbaz expressed concern that the nation’s children had suffered due to the removal of Nawaz Sharif, experiencing a lack of educational opportunities, medical treatment, and overall prosperity.

With determination, Shehbaz Sharif announced that Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan on October 21, with the goal of leading the nation towards prosperity once again. Shehbaz encouraged supporters to gather at Minar-i-Pakistan on this date to welcome Nawaz.

Shehbaz clarified that Nawaz Sharif’s return is not motivated by political vendetta but rather the desire to restore the country’s journey towards progress. He also assured the public that those who had treated Nawaz unjustly would be recognized and held accountable.

Earlier, it was reported that Nawaz Sharif had booked his flight ticket to return to Pakistan. The former prime minister had traveled to London in December 2019 for medical reasons after obtaining permission from the Lahore High Court. Currently facing various cases, including the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Avenfield, Al-Azizia and Hill Metal, and the Flagship references, Nawaz Sharif’s flight will land at Lahore Airport on October 21 at 6:25 PM.

The impending return of Nawaz Sharif has garnered attention, and it remains to be seen how his presence will impact Pakistan’s political landscape and economic prospects.
