The earthquake measured 4.9 magnitude with a depth of 142 kilometers, and its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. Earlier in the month, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Loralai and its neighboring areas, causing fear among residents but no reported loss of life or property damage. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre confirmed the tremors and located the epicenter to be 11 km southwest of Loralai.
