Maryam Nawaz reveals new plan for consumers using 300 units or less of power

Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N vice president, won the PP-159 constituency in the Feb 8 general elections with a landslide victory, receiving all 220 votes in the Punjab Assembly. Her opponent, Rana Aftab Ahmad of the Sunni Council Ittehad (SIC), did not receive any votes as the party boycotted the elections.

In her victory speech, Maryam Nawaz emphasized her commitment to serving Punjab beyond political divides. She outlined her party’s agenda focused on providing employment, education, and healthcare. She also announced plans for initiatives such as distributing solar panels, promoting economic growth through reforms, and combating corruption with transparent governance.

Maryam Nawaz further detailed plans for a Ramazan relief package, improvements in education including revamped school curriculums and youth loan programs, enhancements in the health sector with new hospitals and free medicines, and measures to empower women such as establishing daycare centers and launching an exclusive helpline.

She also expressed a vision to digitize Punjab, establish IT cities, offer free wifi, and revive e-libraries. Maryam Nawaz’s administration aims to bring tech giants into Punjab and enhance digital services for the public.
