Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his role in ‘Titanic,’ is reportedly working on another shipwreck film. The actor is currently shooting for the Martin Scorsese-directed movie, ‘The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder.’
‘The Wager’ is a live adaptation of David Grann’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around a British warship called “The Wager” that gets wrecked during a mission to capture a treasure-filled Spanish ship. The crew loses all pretense of civility, loyalty, honor, and human decency, resulting in most of them meeting a tragic end.
This project marks the sixth collaboration between Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. They have previously worked together on films like ‘Gangs of New York,’ ‘The Aviator,’ ‘The Departed,’ ‘Shutter Island,’ ‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ and the upcoming ‘Killers of the Flower Moon.’
The film is being co-produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Jennifer Davisson, Dan Friedkin, and Bradley Thomas.
