PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has been elected as the first female chief minister of Punjab, making history in Pakistan. In her victory speech, she outlined her plans to transform Punjab into an economic hub, provide free medicines at government hospitals, and introduce a dedicated helpline for women.

Maryam aims to create an enabling environment for businessmen in Punjab, remove bureaucratic hurdles, and promote public-private partnerships. She also plans to improve the lives of the youth by offering funds for merit-based education, reviving the youth loan program, and providing resources for IT startups.

Additionally, Maryam announced initiatives such as a school transport system, state-of-the-art education centers for differently-abled children, and the introduction of Punjab’s first air ambulance. She also emphasized the importance of women’s safety, with the establishment of a dedicated helpline and daycare centers at workplaces.

Furthermore, Maryam outlined plans for a special package for the transgender community, the development of digital cities in Punjab, and the implementation of Safe City projects in major cities to improve safety and traffic systems. She also promised to address police conduct issues and improve response times.
