The police have conducted numerous raids across Karachi and arrested more than 300 undocumented foreign nationals residing illegally in the city, according to a statement.

The majority of the operations took place in District West, where 133 illegal migrants were detained. These raids occurred in Orangi Town, Manghopir, Sarjani Town, Kati Pahari, and Pakistan Bazar.

In addition, 54 illegal foreigners were detained in East District, 40 in South District, 25 in Malir, 27 in Old City Area, and 11 in Korangi.

All the illegal migrants have been moved to the New Haji Camp holding camp.

Today marks the expiration of Pakistan’s deadline for illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the country.

Due to an economic crisis and deteriorating law and order situation, Pakistan urged all illegal immigrants to leave voluntarily by November 1 or face deportation.

Pakistan is home to millions of Afghan migrants and refugees, with approximately 1.7 million being undocumented, according to officials.

Since the beginning of October, over 100,000 Afghan migrants have already left Pakistan, with the majority departing through the Torkham border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier today, it was reported that Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (Retd.) Maqbool Baqar allocated Rs4.5 billion for the repatriation of illegal immigrants.
