The Karachi Kings successfully chased down a total of 118 against the Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to stay in contention for the Pakistan Super League playoffs. Tim Seifert played a crucial role in the victory with a knock of 49 runs, supported by James Vince and Shoaib Malik. Captain Shan Masood, however, continued to struggle with the bat.
Hasan Ali was the standout performer for the Kings, taking four wickets for 15 runs and setting the stage for the batsmen. The Gladiators faltered against the Kings’ bowlers, with Mir Hamza, Blessing Muzarabani, and Zahid Mahmood also contributing with wickets.
Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay tried to rejuvenate the Gladiators innings after a good start by Jason Roy, but Hasan Ali’s double blow dented their hopes. Eventually, the Gladiators lost nine wickets for 51 runs, with Hasan Ali being awarded the Player of the Match for his performance.
