Karachi: In the city of Quaid, 2 more people were killed and a civilian injured due to firing by dacoits. During the ongoing dacoit reign in the blessed month of Ramadan, a total of 15 civilians have lost their lives due to dacoit firing, while the overall number of deaths during the past year has reached 53. Just yesterday, during a dacoity resistance, 2 civilians were killed and three injured due to firing.
Near Gate Number One in New Nazimabad, Mangho Pir area, two people were killed and one person injured due to firing by dacoits. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal proceedings, where they were identified as 40-year-old Saeed Dad and 38-year-old Shabeer, while 45-year-old Ghulam Mustafa was severely injured and transferred to Jinnah Hospital from Abbasi.
SSP West Hafizur Rehman Bugti stated that near Lalu Gate in New Nazimabad, an exchange of fire occurred between Falcon Force and dacoits, during which the police arrested a dacoit Shahid in injured condition, who was shot in the leg, while in the exchange of fire, 2 civilians lost their lives.
As a result of the arrest of the dacoit, weapons, bullets, empty shells, stolen mobile phones, and cash were recovered, while his other two accomplices managed to escape. They informed that the escaped dacoits have been traced and will soon be arrested.
Along with the deceased, a person named Mohammad Hussain spoke to the media at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, stating that the deceased Saeed Dad was from Umar Kot and I am also his neighbor there, we live in New Nazimabad and work in shuttering. We were leaving the gate to have dinner when the firing started, in which people were shot along with me.
Mohammad Hussain mentioned that the deceased Saeed Dad’s body will be taken to his paternal village Umerkot for burial. The Mangho Pir police have stated that further investigations into the incident are ongoing and raids are being conducted to arrest the dacoits who managed to escape.
