After consultations between the outgoing Chief Minister and the opposition leader, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar has been named as the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh. The final approval of this appointment will be given by the Governor of Sindh after signing and sending the advice.
The Chief Secretary of Sindh will issue the notification of Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar’s appointment as the caretaker CM of Sindh.
It is important to note that Governor Kamran Tessori dissolved the Sindh Assembly on the advice of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on August 11. As a result of this dissolution, the provincial cabinet has also been dissolved, and the law department has issued a notification regarding this development.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will continue to carry out his duties until the appointment of the caretaker CM.
