Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district killed eight terrorists in an intelligence-based operation, as reported by the military’s media affairs wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation, conducted in the Sararogha area, was based on the reported presence of terrorists. The ISPR stated that the killed terrorists were actively involved in various terrorist activities, and arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from them. A sanitization operation is ongoing to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. Security forces are dedicated to eradicating terrorism from the country. The recent uptick in terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan follows the end of a ceasefire between the government and the banned militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, as reported by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies.
