ISPR: Pakistani Army Officer and 3 Soldiers Sacrificed in Intelligence-led Operation in Khyber District

A Pakistan Army officer and three soldiers were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tirah, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district. The operation was conducted by security forces in response to reports of terrorists in the area. Led by Lt Col Muhammad Hassan Haider, the troops successfully engaged the terrorists, resulting in the death of three militants and injuries to three others. Unfortunately, Lt Col Haider, Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir also lost their lives during the intense exchange of fire. The ISPR stated that a sanitization operation is underway to ensure the area is clear of any remaining terrorists. The funeral prayers for the martyrs were held at Peshawar Garrison, and they will be laid to rest with full military honors in their respective hometowns. The interim prime minister and other political leaders expressed their condolences and reiterated their commitment to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan. This incident follows recent attacks by terrorists in different parts of the country, indicating an increase in terrorist activities.
