Karachi: The anti-polio campaign has been launched in the province under the Health Department of Sindh to eradicate polio. The aim of the 7-day campaign is to administer polio drops to 54 lakh children across 19 districts of Sindh.
The Health Department of Sindh has initiated the anti-polio campaign in 19 districts of Sindh from today (3rd June) until 9th June. During the 7-day campaign, polio drops will be administered to 54 lakh children.
The Health Minister of Sindh stated that parents’ refusal in the fight against polio is a challenge, as polio drops can protect children from lifelong disability. He urged parents to ensure that every child doesn’t miss out on polio drops and cooperate with polio workers to administer polio drops to children up to five years old.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that every child receives polio drops and urged parents to cooperate with polio workers to protect their children from polio.
