Australia has become the team with the most championships in the history of the Cricket World Cup, having won the title in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015 as well.
It should be noted that this was India’s first loss in the tournament, as the Indian team had been successful in all nine of their league matches in the World Cup, as well as the semi-finals, but the Kangaroos dashed the Indian dreams in the final.
