Despite the unity of the opposition, they face an uphill battle in taking on Modi and the BJP. The BJP still enjoys significant popularity across India, and Modi’s personal charisma has swayed voters even in state elections. Additionally, the BJP has a large amount of funding and resources compared to other political parties.
Furthermore, during Modi’s tenure, opposition parties have faced harassment and investigations by state agencies. Opposition leaders have been jailed, weakening the opposition’s ability to challenge the BJP.
