Karachi: Prices have once again increased in the international and local gold markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce has reached $2352 with an increase of $13.
On the other hand, in the local currency markets, on Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs 2400 to reach Rs 242,700, and the price of 10 grams of gold also reached Rs 208,076 with an increase of Rs 2058.
Representatives of the bullion market say that due to the impact of weakening purchasing power in local currency markets and a significant decrease in gold trading activities, the local price of gold has been kept under Rs 3,000 index instead of proportionate to the increase in international prices.
Moreover, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 100 to reach Rs 2900, and the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 85.74 to reach Rs 2486.28.
