In Karachi, the local market saw an increase in the price of gold per tola due to rising prices in the international market. According to reports, the price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market rose by $10 to reach $2343. On Monday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in local currency markets increased by Rs. 800 to reach Rs. 240,800, while the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 686 to reach Rs. 206,447. Representatives of the bullion market say that due to a decrease in purchasing power in local currency markets and a noticeable decrease in gold trading activities, the local price of gold has been kept under Rs. 4000 compared to the increase in global prices. The price of silver per tola remained stable at Rs. 2800 without any changes and the price of 10 grams of silver also remained stable at Rs. 2400.54 without any changes.
