During a hearing at the Islamabad High Court, Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan reported that 22 missing Baloch students have been found, while the whereabouts of 28 others remain unknown. The court had previously directed caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar to appear before the court if more than 50 students were not recovered. Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Human Rights Minister Khalil George were in attendance, where the judge emphasized the responsibility of the government to recover the missing individuals. Bugti assured the court that the interior ministry would address the matter case-by-case. The court instructed the focal person appointed by the interior ministry to investigate each case and submit a report to the court, with a warning that a case would be registered against the prime minister and interior minister if missing persons were not recovered by the next hearing. The minister was directed to meet with the families of the missing persons within two days.
