Hand Grenade Attack on Police Vehicle in Karachi: Three Police Personnel Injured

In a recent incident in Karachi, three police personnel have been injured in a hand grenade attack on a police vehicle in the Sachal area. The attack took place when an unidentified perpetrator threw a hand grenade cracker at the vehicle. Fortunately, there have been no casualties reported so far.

Another incident occurred in Dera Murad Jamali, Naseerabad, where unidentified men targeted an SSP’s squad with a hand grenade. However, no injuries were reported in this incident.

Immediately following the explosions, the police, along with the CTD and bomb disposal squad, swiftly arrived at the scene to secure the area and investigate the attacks.

Tragically, in a previous incident, two policemen lost their lives and two others were injured after a hand grenade exploded at the Karachi police headquarters in the Garden area. The injured officers are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosions and how the hand grenades ended up in the police headquarters’ arms depot. The incident site has been cordoned off, and a bomb disposal squad has been called in for further examination.

These series of attacks on law enforcement personnel in Karachi are a grave reminder of the challenges they face in maintaining public safety.
