In a recent statement, Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, urged Hafiz Naeemur Rehman to collaborate with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) in order to bring about positive changes and improvements to the city.

Wahab emphasized the importance of completing development projects efficiently and within the designated timeframe. He recalled the promises made by the former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, to construct roads around the Gujjar Nala area, which were left unfulfilled when he left office.

Murtaza Wahab mentioned that the KMC is actively engaged in maintaining public parks and believes that these parks should be accessible to the public free of charge.

The Mayor of Karachi stated that there needs to be a shift in mindset, as the PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party) often faces criticism for considering public-private partnerships in operating parks. He reassured that their intentions are for the betterment of the city.

Furthermore, Murtaza Wahab expressed concern regarding the frequent thefts of manhole covers, lights, and park grills. He highlighted that although these incidents are often captured on video, citizens rarely report them to the police.

He urged the public to report theft incidents to the police rather than just recording videos of the occurrences.
