Three months ago, the Ministry of National Health reported that the Tobacco Control Cell (TCC) issued notices to 10 cigarette manufacturing companies for violating tobacco advertising laws. The TCC requested a response within 10 days, but most of the companies did not reply. Reminder notices were then sent to the non-compliant manufacturers. Despite the decision to file cases against the illegal companies, the TCC has not yet taken legal action against the cigarette manufacturers.
