Karachi: HBL PSL Franchise owner Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated his demand for a separate company. After taking a break from political affairs, Mohsin Naqvi has now started focusing on PCB. He recently invited the owners of PSL franchises to Islamabad, where owners of Multan Sultans, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Quetta Gladiators were present.

Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings owners were unable to attend due to overseas business engagements, but Salman Naseer, Naila Bhatti, and others represented PCB. The meeting was reportedly very positive, with team owners expressing their satisfaction with the Board Chairman’s vision and also reiterating their demand for independent ownership rights.

It is clear that after the completion of the current franchises’ term at the end of the 10th Season, they will be able to maintain their rights by meeting the increased market value. The Chairman assured the owners that another meeting will be held soon to discuss this issue in detail. The franchises also mentioned the possibility of creating a separate company for HBL PSL, to which Mohsin Naqvi responded that they are interested in further improving the league’s affairs and will discuss this matter as well. He mentioned that he joined PCB a few days ago and is currently assessing the situation, expecting to see visible improvements in the near future.

Regarding ticket sales, Mohsin Naqvi mentioned that they are not in agreement with the impact of low crowds in Karachi, but they will discuss with the government to ensure that fans are not inconvenienced during security checks and other procedures.
