The Foreign Office has condemned the violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty by Iran. The recent incident occurred after two innocent children died from an attack in Pakistani territory that the FO denounce as a terrorist attack. Iran has targeted an Iranian terrorist group and no citizens belonging to Pakistan were struck by Iranian missiles and drones. The attack occurred without warning regardless of already established channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran. It has led to Pakistan recalling its ambassador from Iran and suspending high-level visits between the two countries. A spokesperson from the FO has called the attack by Iran, “illegal” and to have “no justification whatsoever”. The incident has caused tension between the neighboring countries.
