Flydubai, a low-cost carrier based in Dubai, has announced that it will be resuming flights to Kabul, making it the first international airline to do so since the chaotic withdrawal of US forces in 2021. The twice-daily flights are set to begin on November 15. This move comes after the Taliban swiftly regained control following the hasty US evacuation.
“Flydubai announced today the resumption of flights to Kabul International Airport,” stated the airline on its website. GAAC, based in Abu Dhabi, also provides ground handling services and security screening at Afghanistan’s three airports.
