Five terrorists eliminated in successful security operations in Gwadar and Bajaur

In a significant achievement for the security forces, five terrorists were killed and one soldier martyred in separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out in Gwadar and Bajaur districts, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In Balochistan’s Gwadar, security forces engaged in an exchange of fire with a group of terrorists, resulting in the killing of one terrorist and the injury of three others. Acting on credible intelligence, the operation was launched to neutralize the presence of terrorists in the area.

The security forces have cordoned off the entire area and are conducting a thorough search operation. The goal is to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area and ensure the safety of the local population.

In Bajaur district’s Charmang area, an IBO led to the martyrdom of one soldier and the elimination of four terrorists. The operation was executed based on reliable intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists. Intense gunfire ensued between the security forces and the terrorists during the operation.

The forces were successful in apprehending one terrorist alive. They also recovered a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, including a suicide vest. The terrorists had been actively involved in carrying out various attacks against security forces and innocent civilians, particularly suicide bombings.

The martyred soldier has been identified as Sepoy Muhammad Shoaib, aged 24. The sanitization process of the area is underway to eliminate any other terrorists hiding in the region.

The ISPR affirms that the security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
