Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab confirmed the casualties and provided an update on the situation. District East Deputy Commissioner Altaf Shaikh supervised the rescue operation, with 30 individuals being rescued. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation will be conducted once the rescue operation is complete. Fire and Rescue services were alerted at 6:30am and Sindh Inspector General Riffat Mukhtar issued directives to the police for the rescue efforts. Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (rtd) Maqbool Baqar provided directives for immediate medical aid to the injured and expressed grief over the loss of lives.
