In a recent statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of JUI-F, expressed his views on the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan. He stated that it would be beneficial for the nation if Nawaz Sharif returns, and the people of Pakistan should welcome him with open arms.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also criticized the PTI chief, stating that his leadership has led the country into an economic crisis. He also highlighted that the ongoing court cases against him and the possible disqualification would further confirm his inability to participate in future elections. He emphasized that the Election Commission of Pakistan has announced elections in January, and conducting fair elections is the constitutional right of every citizen.
It is noteworthy that former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had earlier announced Nawaz Sharif’s scheduled return to Pakistan on October 21. Shehbaz Sharif assured that a grand welcome would be organized for Nawaz Sharif upon his arrival.
Shehbaz Sharif further added that Nawaz Sharif was unjustly removed from power through conspiracies, and the alleged rigging in the 2018 general elections has hindered Pakistan’s progress in comparison to other countries in the region. Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned that after consultation with senior party leaders, it was decided that Nawaz Sharif would lead the election campaign upon his return to Pakistan.
The news of Nawaz Sharif’s return has created significant interest and anticipation among the Pakistani public, and it remains to be seen how his presence will impact the political landscape of the country.
