Fazl-ur-Rehman, the chief of JUI-F, is scheduled to meet with Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), at his Jati Umra residence in Lahore.
The two politicians will discuss a formula for seat adjustments between their parties in the upcoming general elections, according to sources.
In addition, Nawaz Sharif and Fazl will consider forming committees for the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On Monday, Nawaz Sharif chaired a PML-N parliamentary board meeting for the 2024 general elections, as confirmed by party sources.
He is currently conducting interviews with candidates who intend to contest elections in Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal districts.
Since returning from London, the former prime minister has been actively preparing for his party’s election campaign.
It is worth mentioning that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the general elections to be held on February 8, 2024.
