KARACHI: Lahore Whites sealed their exit from the National T20 Cup with a 30-run victory over Sialkot, largely due to an impressive century by opener Mohammad Faiq at the UBL Sports Complex. Lahore Blues, on the other hand, missed out on a potential victory over Abbotabad, ending their campaign with only two wins out of seven matches in the Super Eight stage.

Abbotabad secured a three-wicket win over the Blues and have now advanced to the semi-finals, standing second under Peshawar, who won all six of their matches by defeating bottom-ranked Fata by six wickets.

In the match between Lahore Whites and Sialkot, Faiq’s unbeaten 110 off 60 balls helped his team reach 189-2, and Mohammad Irfan’s three wickets limited Sialkot to 159. Shoaib Malik was the top scorer for Sialkot with 64 runs off 33 balls.

At the NBP Sports Complex, Lahore Blues faced a defeat against Abbotabad despite a valiant effort in their chase, ending their innings at 171-6. Abbotabad chased down the target with Shahab Khan’s cameo of 26 off 10 balls and Kamran Ghulam’s aggressive inning of 69 runs off 45 balls.

In another match, Peshawar defeated Fata by six wickets, successfully chasing down a target of 180-3. Sahibzada Farhan scored 74 off 40 balls, and Iftikhar Ahmed finished the match with 45 off 29 balls.

Late on Thursday, Sialkot beat Lahore Blues by seven wickets, with Huraira scoring 86 off 55 balls.
