Indian police are investigating a blast near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, which did not cause any casualties. Officials have cordoned off the embassy and surrounding areas while inspecting the area. The embassy has been reopened to the public and there is no information suggesting anyone was hurt. The Israeli foreign ministry confirmed the explosion and reassured that all workers and diplomats are safe. A security guard nearby reported hearing the blast and seeing smoke. Three hours after the blast, nothing was found in the search operation. In January 2021, a small bomb went off near the Israeli embassy. An Israeli official stated at the time that the blast was being treated as a terrorist incident.
