ECP Notifies Six Candidates for Violating Code of Conduct

The ECP Punjab office has taken strict action and issued a warning to six political candidates for violating promotional material rules in Nankana Sahib. The electoral watchdog also issued a notice to Ghulam Rasool, a political candidate contesting from PP-178, for making a provocative speech. The District Monitoring Officer (DMO) issued notices to candidates from PP-240 Bahalingar, PP-186 Okara, and PP-232 Wahari, and sought clarification regarding the violations. In addition, the ECP imposed penalties on several candidates for violating the code of conduct during the ongoing election campaign. The monitoring teams in different districts have also removed illegal campaign hoardings, banners, and other election promotion material.
