Decision to form Cabinet Committee on flaws highlighted in the Faizabad Dharna Commission Report.

Islamabad: The Prime Minister has said that there are flaws in the Faizabad sit-in commission report, and a special committee of the cabinet will be formed to look into the matter.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a federal cabinet meeting was held to review the country’s economic and security situation. The meeting discussed issues related to the IMF delegation and received a briefing on cases from the Islamabad High Court.
Attorney General and Law Minister highlighted important points of the Faizabad sit-in commission report, while a detailed briefing was given by the Attorney General of Pakistan regarding the inquiry commission’s investigative report on the Faizabad sit-in incident.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the report, the cabinet decided that the inquiry commission did not work according to its terms of reference (TORs). The federal cabinet directed the formation of a special committee to present its recommendations in this regard.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that there are indeed flaws in the report and it does not comply with the TORs. He stated that a special committee of the cabinet will be formed to look into the matter of the Faizabad sit-in commission report.
Furthermore, the federal cabinet approved the signing of agreements between the governments of Pakistan and the United Kingdom regarding the extradition of three suspects with Pakistani nationality as per the recommendation of the Ministry of Interior.
