According to the World Health Organization (WHO), increasing numbers of children in Gaza are facing acute hunger and are on the brink of death. The UK has sent a large aid delivery into Gaza to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, violence continued in Gaza as explosions and shootings rocked the area, including at al-Shifa Hospital where Israeli forces were carrying out an assault. The Israeli military claimed to have killed dozens of people and made multiple arrests during the operation. Additionally, there were casualties from attacks on the Kuwait Roundabout and a house in the Nuseirat camp.

In diplomatic efforts, the UK sent over 2,000 tonnes of food aid into Gaza, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed US Senate Republicans regarding the situation in Rafah. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are set to discuss releasing captives held by Hamas and providing humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli military raids were reported in multiple locations, leading to arrests and confrontations between Palestinian groups and Israeli forces. Political figures like Bernie Sanders have called for the halt of arms sales to Israel in light of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
