A video has gone viral showing heated exchanges between women speeding on the motorway and motorway police officers. Both parties can be seen leveling serious allegations against each other in the video. The women drove off without paying fines, prompting legal action from the motorway police.
Incidents of hostility between police and motorway travelers are becoming increasingly common. A recent incident of blatant misbehavior and hostility between women and motorway police unfolded near Toll Plaza in Islamabad. The video footage of the incident has also surfaced.
In the video, female drivers can be seen complaining about the misbehavior of motorway police officers, with one officer seen inflicting visible harm on one of the women while attempting to snatch her mobile phone. Despite efforts to explain the situation by the motorway police officers, the women continued to display hostile behavior and even threatened to block the motorway.
Despite attempts by the motorway police officers to calm the situation, the women persisted in resisting and challenging various traffic laws, ultimately leaving the scene without paying fines. Further legal action is being pursued by the motorway police against them.
On the other side, the video also shows motorway police officers filming the women and exchanging remarks with them. The friction between women and motorway police officers escalated when the women were stopped for overspeeding and reckless driving due to which the police officers began filming them from a distance. This led to the women reacting negatively and subsequently filming the motorway police as well.
The situation intensified as the motorway officers tried to intervene, with visible marks of harm seen on one of the women’s hands. The women can be heard using inappropriate language towards the police officers in anger. Accusations of bribery and extortion from the women towards the police officers are also heard in the video, to which a police inspector from the motorway police responds.
The video captures the continued confrontations between the women and the motorway police, with both parties filming each other. The women are seen protesting and filming the motorway police inspector, accusing him of threatening and blackmailing them. In response, the inspector can be heard telling the women not to provoke him and falsely accuse him of misconduct.
A spokesperson for the motorway police stated that requests for legal action against the women have been filed with the relevant police station.
