CJP Qazi Faez Isa has responded to concerns by Justice Ijazul Ahsan regarding bench formation. Justice Ahsan had asked CJP Isa to issue a roster originally agreed upon during a committee meeting. In response, CJP Isa said that Justice Ahsan’s “accusations are contrary to the record and the facts”. CJP Isa also cited availability issues among judges and maintained that bench formation demonstrated that every judge was treated equally. He concluded by inviting Justice Ahsan to suggest ideas for the reconstitution of benches and to participate in a meeting through videolink at the Supreme Court Registry in Lahore.
