PTI candidates in Islamabad spent the day before the elections seeking pre-arrest bail for themselves and their supporters. The IHC granted bail to one candidate and restrained police from harassing him. Two other candidates also succeeded in seeking release for their supporters. A petition against the arrest of another PTI candidate in Punjab led to a warning of suspending the election in that constituency, but the candidate ultimately chose to withdraw the petition.
