A video captured by a citizen showed two individuals stopping near a car parked on the main road near Karimabad. One of the accused opened the car’s bonnet, removed the battery, and fled the scene with his accomplice.
The citizen recording the video called out to the culprits, but they quickly took the battery and waved at the camera as they escaped.
In another incident, citizens caught a man red-handed while stealing a car battery in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The thief was subsequently beaten and handed over to the police. CCTV footage showed residents beating the thief after apprehending him in the act.
The footage also revealed that two thieves arrived on a motorcycle, with one attempting to remove a car battery before fleeing when confronted by young men.
