Mushtaq Ahmed, a former Pakistan cricketer, shared his thoughts on the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia, which will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
Both India and Australia secured their spots in the final by defeating New Zealand and South Africa in the semifinals. This highly anticipated match will be a rematch of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 final.
As the two teams are in top form, with India being the only unbeaten side in the tournament and Australia winning eight consecutive matches after their initial two losses.
Australia had previously defeated India with a comfortable 125-run margin in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 final at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium. It is also worth mentioning that India had previously defeated Australia in the group stage of the current tournament.
During a discussion on a private channel, Mushtaq Ahmed expressed his confidence in Australia’s victory in the final, predicting that openers David Warner and Travis Head would lead the team to a convincing win. On the other hand, his fellow panelist, former cricketer Mohammad Yousuf, predicted India as the winner.
