In a significant development, the police have announced that they will conduct a second DNA test on Peer Asad Shah, the main accused in the murder case of child maid Fatima. Fatima, a domestic maid employed at Shah’s haveli, was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

The police informed that the results of the first DNA samples did not match the victim’s clothes. Concerned about potential technical issues, the authorities have decided to transport the accused to Karachi for further examination.

It is worth mentioning that the investigation involved collecting samples from 19 individuals, including Asad Shah, his relatives, and employees. Currently, the prime suspect remains in jail on a seven-day physical remand.

Earlier, four individuals, including SHO Ameer Chang, Dr Fatah Memon, Dr Ali Hasan Wasan, and medical dispenser Imtiaz Merasi, were released by the Khairpur police. These individuals were not named in the FIR and were found innocent based on evidence provided to the Joint Investigation Team.

Surprisingly, Hina Shah, the wife of the main accused, Asad Shah, still remains at large, despite 12 days having passed since the incident. Additionally, Ejaz Khaskhali, a driver working for Hina Shah, was apprehended in Karachi by the Khairpur Police, along with 11 others who were taken into custody from Asad’s mansion.
