During the planning of any project with Iran, it is important to consider the implications of American sanctions, said Matthew Miller.
Washington: US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller responded to statements made by Assistant Secretary Donald Lu during a press briefing, where it was said that America does not support the gas pipeline project between Pakistan and Iran.
Miller expressed these views in response to a journalist’s question during a weekly press briefing. The journalist asked if the US could impose any restrictions on Pakistan in this situation.
Miller said, “I do not want to comment on any possible restrictions, but we always advise everyone to exercise caution and consider the implications of American sanctions when doing business with Iran. Therefore, we will advise everyone to approach it with extreme caution and consideration.”
