The mother of rising star Aina Asif recently shared an unusual habit of hers – eating her own hair. However, Aina herself denied having this habit.
The revelation was made during an appearance on ARY Digital’s morning show, ‘Good Morning Pakistan’. Aina Asif’s mother disclosed that she always keeps a strand of hair between her lips as a way to focus and aid her thinking process. Her co-star from the drama serial ‘Mayi Ri’, Hiba Ali Khan, also confirmed this strange habit.
According to Hiba, “Whenever Aina is not shooting or it’s not her scene, you will find her doing this gesture with her hair. I think it helps her to concentrate and enhances her thinking process.”
During the show, Aina shared that her castmates, including Maria Wasti, who plays her mother-in-law in the serial, and director Meesam bhai, used to poke fun at her habit.
Aina defended herself by saying, “Also, my hair smells very nice, which is why I do this.”
Speaking about Aina’s habit, her mother revealed, “She has had this habit since childhood. Whenever I used to tie her ponytail, Aina would untie it just to play with that strand of hair. So, I started leaving a strand behind and tying the rest of her hair.”
On the work front, Aina Asif is currently captivating audiences as the main protagonist Aini in the drama serial ‘Mayi Ri’, alongside Samar Abbas Jafri. The serial, written and conceptualized by Sana Fahad and directed by Meesam Nazar Naqvi, airs daily at 7 pm on ARY Digital.
