An ASI, Shah Wali Iqbal, was martyred in a firing incident by unknown individuals in the Sheikh Mohammadi area near Budh Bair police station in Peshawar, according to the police. Subsequently, police officials met with the relatives of ASI and expressed condolences, assuring them that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
According to initial reports, ASI Shah Wali was returning home after offering prayers at a local mosque when he was shot by unidentified individuals. A search operation has been initiated, collecting 30 bore pistol casings and other important evidence from the crime scene.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the incident and expressed sympathy and condolences to the family of the deceased. He directed the police authorities to take immediate action for the arrest of those involved in the firing.
