Peshawar: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has presented a budget of Rs. 159 billion for the month of March. According to Express News, Finance Secretary Amrit Rain has said that in the KP Assembly session, advance approval grants for the month of March will be taken, if the provincial cabinet is not present, permission will be taken directly from the assembly under Article 125 of the constitution, an approval of Rs. 5.195 billion will be taken for the month of March.

The Finance Secretary stated that after the provincial cabinet comes, approval for the complete budget of the next year will be taken, approval for the current eight months caretaker government and the next three months’ budget will be taken from the new cabinet. On the other hand, opposition member Ahmed Kareem Kundi has stated that presenting a budget in accordance with the constitution is the responsibility of the provincial government, as the government is not yet formed in the province, only Chief Minister does not constitute the government, this budget presentation is unconstitutional.

Ahmed Kareem Kundi has said that look at rule 150, do not violate the constitution, only Chief Minister government will not subvert the rules at least announce a cabinet with at least two members under the Rules of Business.
