British media has accused the Indian board of making changes without permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2023.

All patches used in the World Cup are prepared under the supervision of ICC curator Andy Atkinson, and different numbers are placed on different patches in each stadium according to the contracts made for the mega event, so that matches can be played on the newly prepared patches.

The semi-final match was scheduled to be played on November 7th patch at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium, where no match had been played before. According to media reports, a specific patch is not being used for the semi-final, but instead this match is being played on the November 6th patch, on which 2 matches have already been played and this patch will be helpful for Indian spinners.

On the other hand, similar information is also available for the World Cup final that the Indian board has also been directed to change the patch of Ahmedabad in order to increase the chances of success for the Indian team.
